Growing up in Miami, I became accustomed to interacting with very diverse groups of people, primarily Latinx, and speaking "Spanglish". The city is inviting and inclusive towards foreigners and tourists alike. The more I traveled within the US the more I realized how different my life would had I grown up elsewhere.

For my undergraduate studies, I decided to stay close to home and attend Florida International University. There I studied business, but took many interdisciplinary classes in subjects like Philosophy, Art History, Marine Science, Acting, and Spanish.

I was able to form connections between two seemingly unrelated subjects and doing so expanded my intellectual capabilities and spiritual awareness. As an Honors College student, I completed two study abroad programs that broadened my awareness of social and civic responsibility. After graduating, I look forward to traveling the world and meeting new people.

Onward.
