International Financial Management

Fall 2018 (FIN4604)

In this course I understood the international financial business models in a whole new light. It furthered my awareness of global capital markets and their financial systems. The exchange of foreign currency in relation to the dollar can have a negative or positive impact on outside communities. Also, international business organizations can be impacted by foreign governments and overseas business partners which can affects their direct pathway to consumers.

Strategic Management

Spring 2019 (MAN4712)

In this course, I learned about the financial framework of most multinational corporations. An enterprise's successful structure has everything to do with the company's vision, mission and future goals. Through the positive interaction arising from their mutual connection, together these strategies pave the road for a prosperous business plan in an industry. In continuation, the business plan or sales forecast can ultimately foreshadow the next 12-18 months of the company’s future potential. It is crucial for these tactics to work hand-in-hand together with the goals set forth by the organization in order for it to prosper.

Marketing Management

Fall 2016 (MAR3032)

There is a very intimate relationship with both the marketing and supply chain fields. They co-exist on the same success level, in other words, you can’t have a prosperous company without the effectiveness and reliability of both of these areas. The undeniable connection between the two, creates a bond that helps move the mission and vision alongside the company’s core values. It produces what is known as the flow of information, which helps propel the flow of the products of the retail company more resourcefully. The ebb and flow of these departments are up-kept with constant communication of each other’s progress and transgressions. Nevertheless, it also results in better service, quality, and profitability.

Honors Seminar V: Aesthetics, Values and Authority

Fall 2016 (IDH3034)

As an Honor's College student, I participated in organizing a professional showcase for some of South Florida's finest artists. Over the course of two semesters, I studied the meaning and purpose of originality in art--as well as its funding, curating, cataloging, and advertising. I can truly say that I appreciate art, both aesthetically and emotionally. It was such an experience to curate an exhibition of such expressive creativity.

Honors Seminar V: Aesthetics, Values and Authority

Spring 2017 (IDH3035)

In the Spring semester, me and my group finalized the artist we were going bring to the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, his name was Peter Hosfeld. We were directly with the artist to measure the dimensions of his installations and make sure that he had the proper space to display his art. As a group we visited his studio in Wynwood in order to confirm the exact pieces he was going to unveil in the exhibit. We gave this local artist a chance to expose his art work on a larger scale. It was truly a remarkable experience.

Coastal Environment from the Bay to the World

Fall 2015 (IDS3214 and Lab)

This course revolutionized the way I saw the ocean by allowing me to be conscious of the laws and lack of laws set forth on a global scale. Slowly, our marine life and coral reef systems are depleting as a result of increased tourism and waste dumping. Currently, there are very few laws that protect the creatures of our oceans from these negative occurrences. The most baffling part is that every organism thrives of another, so if there is a missing link in food chain of one of these organisms then the damage will affect the entire latter. It can even spread and reduce algae and bacteria that maintain our coral reef systems alive. Sadly, once the limited coral reef systems in the ocean die they cannot be restored.
